Poetry Workshop - UKC Poetry Society

  • University Of kent Woolf - Seminar Room 5 Canterbury, England, CT2 United Kingdom (map)

The UKC Poetry Society is hosting its first workshop event! Due to popular demand, the society is holding an hour and a half workshop for poetry, which shall be run by the president of the society, Kyle Lovell.

The workshop will focus upon editing and critiquing poems with a critical eye. The aim of the workshop is to help develop individual’s skills in critiquing poetry, allowing people to carry those skills onward into their future writing. We recommend that you bring a poem or two with you that has already been written, though we shall be holding a short writing exercise at the beginning of the session for those who are unable to do so.

The session will then be followed by a trip to Origins in Darwin, for all to socialise, destress, and continue discussing that most wonderous of subjects - poetry.

Directions: Entering Woolf college, turn right into the downstairs foyer, then through the double doors on the left and upstairs. The room is behind and on the right
